Duties & Responsibilities: We are seeking a data analyst or staff scientist to join the Computational Genetics and Genomics lab at Vanderbilt Genetics Institute to work on projects to advance the understanding of human diseases and genetics-informed therapeutics development. Diseases of interest are broad, with a focus on neuropsychiatric disorders and neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease. The scientist/analyst will help collect and analyze various genomics data, and facilitate other lab members to conduct research in these areas.
Position Qualifications: The applicant should have experiences in genetics and genomics of human diseases, and is expected to write scripts using statistical program R and/or programming languages such as Python/Perl on Unix/Linux systems.
