We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Computational Genetics and Genomics lab at Vanderbilt Genetics Institute to work on projects funded by NIH R01 grants, focusing on Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The projects are to understand the genetic mechanisms of AD using cutting-edge genomics approaches in iPSC models, and design and analyze multi-omics data in patient-derived iPSC lines for drug development for AD. The Fellow will be responsible for analyzing multi-omics data (e.g. single-cell RNAseq and epigenomics data) generated in iPSC lines, and have opportunities to develop novel statistical models for analyzing such data for drug repurposing. The projects are highly interdisciplinary and collaborative, involving genetics, genomics and electronic health records (EHR) data. The Fellow has training opportunities in one or multiple of these highly inter-connected areas that altogether have unique advantages in advancing the understanding of AD and therapeutics.
