The Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) is one of the most prominent genome centers. It is a full-service facility dedicated to providing RNA expression profiling, DNA genotyping, and high-throughput sequencing using state of the art technologies. YCGA utilizes diverse cutting-edge genomic technologies to advance breakthroughs in biomedical and life sciences.
We seek a cell/molecular biologist to develop high-throughput assays to characterize function of DNA variants using tools such as CRISPR, chemical mutagenesis. Experience in next generation sequencing, and single cell genomics is a plus. The ideal candidate must also be able to interact with Yale scientists using high-throughput functional assays.
The position comes with an appointment in in the Department of Genetics at the level of an Associate Research Scientist in the research faculty rank.
Applicants must hold a PhD with strong preference given to candidates with a degree in molecular/genomic biology or related field. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both cell or molecular biology particularly in CRISPR and chemical mutagenesis assays.
