The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering (https://engineering.pitt.edu/bioengineering) invites applications from accomplished individuals with a PhD or equivalent degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or closely related disciplines for a tenure-stream faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. We wish to recruit an individual with strong research accomplishments in Neural Engineering (i.e., leveraging basic science and engineering knowledge to develop innovative, translatable solutions for the nervous system), with preference given to neuroimaging, neuro-technologies, brain-computer interface, and neural interfaces. It is expected that this individual will broaden the scope of neural engineering focus of the department as well complement our current strengths in various bioengineering domains. Candidates must also be committed to contributing to high quality education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including our new Professional MS degree focused on neural engineering.
