The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics (BMG) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for tenure track faculty positions in the areas of structural biology and biophysics. Applications at the Assistant Professor rank will be prioritized, but exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor position may be considered. The ideal candidate will aim to address fundamental biological questions from a mechanistic standpoint, using structural and/or biophysical approaches. We are particularly interested in candidates with single molecule fluorescence or cryo-electron tomography expertise but we welcome applications from candidates in other areas of structural biology and biophysics, broadly defined. Current research emphases in BMG ( https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/biochemistry) include RNA, chromosome, evolutionary and cancer biology, leveraging methodologies ranging from structural to cell biology, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. We seek investigators with visionary programs that augment or synergize with these strengths or introduce new ones. We provide state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant, highly supportive and interactive community.
