Position Summary

To meet the demands of our growing network in Southern California, City of Hope is seeking a Professor of Clinical Research in any area of Supportive Care to join our faculty here on our Duarte, California campus.

Examples of research areas within Supportive Care include: Palliative Care, Hospice End of Life, Psychosocial Distress in Cancer Patients, Geriatric Oncology, Pain Research and Technology for Vulnerable Populations. Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and chaplains - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. By bringing together clinical research services, treatments and the respective multidisciplinary team in one place, we can deliver truly coordinated care in a way that is convenient for our patients. Areas of special interest are: aging research, biopsychosocial screening, pain, and gender strengths in health services and social sciences.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Applicants must have an MD/DO or PhD Degree or equivalent required related experience
