The Division of Genetics at the Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC), Oregon Health & Science University, is seeking to recruit investigators with expertise in non-human primate (NHP) genetics, genome biology and/or genome-guided medicine. Research areas of interest are broad, including but not limited to: the analysis of NHP genetic and genomic data to improve understanding of human disease; methods for genome or epigenome manipulation; regenerative medicine; use of personal genomes to create patient-specific hypotheses about disease and subsequent genome-based therapy. The appointee will complement ongoing research activities and expertise in the Division through programs that aim to develop genetic resources and tools that can be broadly shared with the global research community and strengthen bridges between NHP models and the human research world. For more information on the Genetics Division please visit: https://www.ohsu.edu/onprc/division-genetics.

ONPRC provides a unique research environment for the study of primate biology, including a colony of over 5,000 rhesus macaques related by a known >10 generation pedigree. Our world-class medical infrastructure includes an electronic medical records system, a primate IVF core, imaging facilities equipped with 3T MRI, and a high-performance computing cluster built by Intel. The Genetics Division was launched in 2018 and benefits from substantial resources for growth, including a multi-year recruitment plan. Research at ONPRC is tightly integrated with OHSU and features a training environment for OHSU graduate students and post-docs.   Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.  Competitive research space and start-up funding will be provided.
