Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences
Louisiana State University Shreveport invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position in Biological Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting August 2022. An earned Ph.D. in Biology or closely-related field is required. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a well-funded research program and have a strong commitment to teaching and the supervision of research projects at the undergraduate and graduate level. Responsibilities include teaching lecture and laboratory courses in the biological sciences with an emphasis in biomedical sciences. Scientists with research interests related to animal physiology and disease, such as but not limited to, endocrinology, immunobiology, virology, microbiology, neurobiology, cancer biology and bioinformatics using current cell and molecular biological approaches, are particularly encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement, statement of teaching philosophy and a list of three references.
