Job Details

Research Activities
-Serves as senior advisor to optimize research activity including coordination of ongoing and planned studies and preparation of protocols and submissions.
-Manages grant funded research operations and activities.
-Coordinates research planning, monitoring and reporting activities.
-Completes special projects and reports.
-Manages the hiring, training, evaluating and development of staff.
-Develops, manages, and implements effective administrative policies and procedures for the program.
-Forecasts and monitors all financial and budgetary matters.
-Coordinate with PI to develop strategic plans and provide budgetary oversight for funded research protocols and research studies.
-Responsible for the design, development and modification of protocols.
-Prepares study data for analysis.
-Cultivates relationships with internal and external partners and provides relevant data.
-Writes project procedures for various aspects of study and prepares documentation for projects.
-Collaborates across the institution to ensure program objectives and deliverables are met.

Database Operations
-Manages the design, development, administration, coordination and ongoing support for the patient history database and other components of the electronic medical record.
-Develops and manages the systems, policies and procedures affecting the data collection.
-Oversees the quality of data collection and/or abstraction for departmental, institutional and inter-institutional initiatives.
-Performs, evaluates and approves audit reviews and reports.
-Serves as a liaison for other department and regulatory agencies.
-Collaborates with programmers and developers to maintain database systems and quality.
-Provides consultative support to faculty regarding access to and retrieval of data from institutional databases.

Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

Required Experience: Six years of administrative experience in a research or academic setting to include four years of grant management and two years of supervisory/management experience in a research, health care or related environment. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Preferred Experience: Experience in Red Cap, grants, patient enrollement
