Postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientist, Industrial Pharmacy Lab, Dept of Pharmaceutical Sciences
University of the Sciences (USciences) has an immediate need for a qualified candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. The position involves formulation and pharmaceutical analyses in the Industrial Pharmacy Laboratory (IPhL) at USciences. The position reports to Dr. Pardeep Gupta, Director, IPhL. The facility is focused on development of drug delivery systems for small molecules and proteins. These include solid dosage forms, lipid-based and nanoparticle delivery systems, and bioanalytical support. The IPHL is a recently renovated facility with an array of instrumentation including LCMS, pharmaceutical R&D equipment, lyophilizer, ELISA systems and XRD equipment.
The applicant should have a BS, MS, or PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field with experience with research techniques in drug delivery design and analytical techniques. Experience with HPLC and formulations is highly desirable. Willing to work with animals (rodents) is required. The candidate should be a motivated individual with ability to design experimental approaches. The candidate will also be required to work with and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
