Research Assistant Professors – Genetic Medicine

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Genetic Medicine, is searching for two Research Assistant Professors to participate in single cell ‘omics research. The appointee’s primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or a team that includes biologists, clinicians, and statisticians. Appointees will complement existing areas of strength and contribute to project conception and execution. We especially welcome applicants with experience or interest in assessing single cell genomics and/or spatial genomics platforms and computational tools needed for their analysis. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Applicants must have 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in genetics, genomics, systems biology, statistics or biostatistics, biological sciences or related disciplines, and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.  Assessment of applications will consider experience in integrative analyses of different ‘omics data (transcription with gene regulation and proteomics) with GWAS and eQTL studies in reprogrammed cells, organoid models and patient samples in different organs and disease contexts.

To be considered, those interested must apply through The University of Chicago’s Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/96453.   Applicants must upload: a CV including bibliography. Review of applications ends when all available positions are filled.
