Jena provides a highly collaborative atmosphere and an energetic research network with the Friedrich Schiller University, numerous non-university research institutes and companies. With a focus on health and life sciences as well as optics and photonics, Jena has successfully established several interdisciplinary, collaborative research projects. We are looking for

4 Research and Project Coordinators:

Scientific Coordinator (m/f/d) for the Cluster of Excellence Balance of the Microverse

Balance of the Microverse combines expertise in life, material, optical and computational sciences at the Friedrich Schiller University, the University Hospital and eight non-university research institutes, to elevate microbiome studies from descriptive to hypothesis-driven and functional analyses. For our management office we are looking for a highly committed Scientific Coordinator (m/f/d) for 2 years initially (TV-L E13), with the possibility of extension.

2 Research Coordinators (m/f/d) for the Leibniz Center for Photonics in Infection Research (LPI).

The LPI will combine photonic technologies with infection research and thus contribute to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods for human medicine. As one of four supporting institutions, the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology - Hans Knöll Institute - (Leibniz-HKI) is looking to recruit a Research Coordinator (m/f/d) for the LPI coordination office and a Research Coordinator (m/f/d) for Project Management and Drug Development within a LPI subproject for 2 years initially each, with the possibility of extension.

Project Coordinator (m/f/d) for the CRC/TR FungiNet

Scientists in Jena and Würzburg with a research focus on human-pathogenic fungi have joined forces in the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 124 FungiNet - Pathogenic Fungi and their Human Host: Networks of Interaction. They investigate life-threatening infections due to opportunistic fungal pathogens, where the clinical diagnosis is still difficult and often too late for diagnostics-guided patient management. We are looking for a Project Coordinator (m/f/d) (TV-L E8).

The Friedrich Schiller University and the Leibniz-HKI are equal opportunity employers and part-time contracts can be discussed. Disabled persons with comparable qualifications receive preferential status.
