Post-doctoral Fellow in Educational Neuroscience & Machine Learning in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 508757)

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Educational Neuroscience & Machine Learning in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 508757), to commence on February 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year temporary-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, or a related field with a strong background in electroencephalogram (EEG), functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), or neural computation, as well as skills in programming with Python or MATLAB.  They are expected to be experts in time-frequency analysis and/or single-trial analysis of EEG data.  In addition, they should have a knack for accuracy and attention to details; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.

The appointee will be responsible for EEG experiment design, implementation and data analyses, neural computation, and neural network implementation.  He/She is also expected to provide training to research postgraduate students on cognitive neural science, as well as to write and contribute to manuscripts.  He/She will work under the supervision of Dr. Shelley Tong.
