Postdoctoral Fellow - Sather lab
The Sather lab is recruiting an energetic, self-motivated postdoctoral scientist to study immune responses to HIV-1 vaccination, both mRNA and recombinant Envelope. Our lab is fast-paced and action-oriented, and offers an interactive and highly integrated environment. Studies include serological analyses, immune cell phenotyping, and B cell receptor repertoire analysis with NGS approaches. Prior background in immunology a plus, as is experience in molecular biology, NGS approaches, and flow cytometry. Our goal is to understand how immunogen formulation, vaccination route, and antigen type influence vaccination outcomes, with an emphasis on using cutting edge, high throughput technologies.
The post-doctoral fellow will develop scientific skills as appropriate for this level of training position, and carry out research/development activities in support of assigned research projects. Responsibilities include protocol development and review, data collection and analysis, manuscript and fellowship application preparation, and training in the conduct of clinical trials and research.
