The Biology Department at Western Washington University invites applications for two tenure-track, assistant professorships in MOLECULAR CELL BIOLOGY WITH A BIOMEDICAL FOCUS, and CELL BIOLOGY WITH A DEVELOPMENTAL OR PHYSIOLOGICAL FOCUS beginning FALL 2022.
The Biology Department in the College of Science and Engineering has approximately 30 faculty whose expertise spans a broad range of biological disciplines. The department, college, and university are devoted to creating an equitable environment for students and staff and are engaged in the process of addressing institutional racism and other oppressive biases. We especially encourage applications from women, people of color, people with disabilities, veterans, and other candidates from historically excluded backgrounds and underrepresented experiences.
The successful applicants will foster an inclusive and student-centered approach to teaching and research and develop a molecular cell biology research program appropriate for a primarily undergraduate institution with master’s students. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and advanced molecular cell biology courses.
Application review begins November 29th 2021; positions open until filled.
