Position Overview The Medical Affairs Speaker Program Manager is the position within ViiV North America Medical Affairs (NAMA) that has ultimate accountability for coordinating all medical responsibilities that relate to Promotional Educational programs. To thrive in this role, this individual needs to partner closely with commercial colleagues responsible for HCP engagement, brand medical directors, the medical affairs leadership and field teams to inform content and training plans for promotional programs. Once plans are developed and approved, this individual works directly with field medical and commercial leadership to ensure delivery of plans. This role will need to be operationally strategic and facilitate cross-functionally to drive delivery of best-in-class promotional speakers and education to advance medical understanding of ViiV products and improve patient care. The individual in this role is instrumental in driving capability to deliver promotional programs with scientific rigor and clinical relevance; to simplify and systematize processes related to medical faculty staffing; to contribute to cross-functional problem escalation, resolution and management, and to participate in vendor oversight related to speakers and resources Key Stakeholders: This role requires direct collaboration with the commercial Director, HCP Engagement Strategy and Operations and HCP Programs Operations Manager; the Medical Affairs Sr Leadership Team, Brand Medical Directors, MSL Directors, Governance Lead and Training Director. Responsibilities: Serve as single, medical point of contact for ViiV HCP promotional programs, coordinating with sales, marketing, operations, medical brand and field leadership and vendors for medical-related specifics. Ensure Speaker selection criteria for all bureaus are defined, communicated, applied and updated Coordinate approval and delivery of the scientific portion of speaker training for internal and external faculty, including face-to-face, virtual and email engagement. Coordinate medical input into speaker training timelines and plans Responsible for coordinating and maintaining robust, scientific training resources for promotional program faculty. Evolve internal and external speaker effectiveness in partnership with commercial by providing feedback, assessments and analytics to inform speaker utilization, program planning, delivery models and continuous improvements that underlie speaker effectiveness. Responsible for partnership with medical governance director for oversight of speakers. This includes tracking, follow-up and process improvement Coordinate approval of all speaker training plans. Coordinate medical communications to internal and external speakers. Coordinate onboarding training for new joiner related to speaker programs MSLs/RMDs/brand medical directors including ViiV approach, expectations, governance, process/systems and overall execution excellence. Identify barriers, drive issue resolution, and/or propose strategies related to ensure educational excellence in delivery of promotional educational initiatives. Why you? Basic Qualifications: 5 years experience in pharmaceutical role Bachelors Degree is required Speakers bureau experience Strong organizational planning skills Preferred Qualifications: Fluent understanding of medical affairs functionality and contribution. Experience leading and/or coordinating projects across heavily matrixed environment. Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to navigate, drive, negotiate and influence vertically. Stakeholder focus with proven ability to interpret and respond to stakeholder needs while maintaining strategic and enterprise thinking. Proven ability to manage high volume, complex work requiring strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, prioritization and delegation skills. Demonstrated experience collaborating with varied business partners across an organization to drive change and measurably improve business performance. Strong organizational planning skills. Appropriate attention to detail. Agility to adjust to changing timelines/priorities, and cope under pressure from conflicting priorities.
