The Department of Applied Physics at Yale University invite applications for a faculty appointment in the area of experimental optics and photonics. Applications will be considered at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking applicants in the broad research area of optical sciences and technologies, including but not limited to optical imaging, nanophotonics, nonlinear optics, optical biophysics, quantum optics and optical materials.

 

The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group, be an interactive member of the Applied Physics Department, and contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Physics, or an equivalent degree, at the time of the hire. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022.
