ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizer Boulder Research is currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate for a Sr. Associate Scientist position contributing to ADME (absorption, disposition, metabolism and excretion) sciences , facilitating the identification and development of small molecule cancer therapeutics. Specifically, the position is for a bioanalytical role for LC-MS/MS method development within the ADME group. The scientist also will conduct biological assays (cell permeability and transporter efflux) as well as cell culture maintenance, in vitro enzyme kinetic or mechanistic studies, and drug metabolism studies. Additional responsibilities include authoring of research reports in support of regulatory submissions , and external publications . T he individual will have the unique opportunity to work with project representatives and influence the selection of candidate molecules for drug development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

o Serve as a bioanalytical LC-MS/MS subject matter specialist for the ADME team.

o Develop novel, rapid and robust LC-MS/MS methods and perform bioanalysis for in vitro biological samples , enhance robustness and bioanalytical capabilities of ADME screens.

o Conduct in vitro ADME experiments (cell permeability and transporter efflux, CYP inhibition, etc) and generate high quality data in a timely manner, review and upload data into databases, write reports, and data QC.

o Maintain close collaborations with other scientists in the ADME group to enable drug discovery or development portfolio support, trouble-shooting, and technology improvement or development.

o Provide guidance on chemical modifications that may improve ADME properties.

o Prepare documents to support regulatory IND filings.

o Evaluate new technology and methodology that advances our understanding of ADME/PK, target-engagement, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

o BS/MS degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biomedical, pharmaceutical sciences or related field.

o Minimum of 2 years of bioanalytical and/or assay development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

o Hands-on experience and strong trouble shooting skills for LC-MS/MS bioanalysis and method development.

o Hands-on experience conducting biological assays (cell permeability and transporter efflux, CYP inhibition, time dependent inhibition, etc) as well as cell culture maintenance.

o Knowledge of ADME/DMPK preferred but not required.

o Excellent oral and written communication skills.

o Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

For roles based in Colorado:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $58,600.00 to $97,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 7.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
