This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following… Contribute to the end-to-end data automation and modeling strategy for drug product development Understand our processes, collaborate cross-functionally within GSK and enable and support our data driven approach to science Work with drug product development experts to collect user requirements for ELN templates/dashboards Contribute to streamlining and automating data and information flows during experimental studies including information transfer during study setup, data extraction from instrumentation and transferring data to our storage systems Contribute to molecular, formulation and process modelling, as well as creation of user-friendly interfaces and web apps. The successful candidate will join a Technology Advancement and Platform/Portfolio Support Team within the Biopharmaceutical Product Sciences and Device Delivery (BPS-DE) department of the Biopharm Product Development & Supply (BPDS) organization within GSK R&D. The candidate will work on developing technologies, models and data pipelines to support formulation, drug product manufacturing process and delivery systems for protein & peptide-based therapeutics. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: PhD degree in Pharmaceutics, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline with 1+ years of protein formulation or drug product development experience with emphasis on data automation and modeling; MS degree with 4+ years of similar experience BS degree with 8 + years of similar experience Experience working independently and the ability to work effectively in a team and matrix environment The selected candidate must possess knowledge &/or have experience related to: Protein and peptide chemistry; Formulation and drug delivery/device development Drug product manufacturing Experience with creating templates for capturing information with an ELN/LIMS system Experience with drug product process modeling Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Creative and motivated self-starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with data management in pharmaceutical drug product development Experience with data visualization and creating dashboards Experience in one or more of the following languages/tools: Python, JavaScript, R, RShiny, SQL, Spotfire, Tableau Experience with both conventional and alternative biopharmaceutical protein formulation, and drug product development, including the application of DOE and other statistically-based experimental design/interpretation approaches. Experience with protein product manufacturing processes and development (e.g., solution (vial/PFS), or lyophilization; container/closure assessment & selection), drug delivery (e.g., combination product, device & administration kit) feasibility and compatibility evaluation.
