Postdoctoral Associate / Assistant or Associate Research Scientist

New York University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Associate / Assistant or Associate Research Scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Evgeny Pavlov within the Department of Molecular Pathobiology. The group's primary research focus is on the investigation of cellular energy metabolism and mitochondrial function. The primary expertise of the laboratory is in studies of mitochondrial ion channels and calcium signaling using electrophysiology and imaging approaches. If needed, access to other experimental techniques and animal models can be provided through collaborations with other laboratories. The incumbent is expected to develop a research program that will provide the foundation for a future independent research career. This position is funded by a NIH grant, and the incumbent is encouraged to apply for independent career development funding.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or biology. The candidate must also be able to effectively demonstrate their experience working in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
