The Department of Biology at the University of Louisville ( invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 1, 2022. We seek early-stage or recently established investigators with excellent records of research accomplishment who will complement and expand departmental research interests and actively advise, mentor, and guide undergraduate and Ph.D. students.

Physiology or Cellular Biology: The search is open to applicants in many research areas, including, but not limited to, metabolism, development, neurobiology, cancer biology, and integrative or comparative physiology. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an externally funded research program and contribute to the department's teaching mission in our undergraduate core and graduate program. Primary teaching duties will include courses in undergraduate Cell and Molecular Biology and upper-level biology in an area of specialization. We seek candidates with experience working in multicultural settings, collaborating with multicultural workgroups, or engaging in diversity and inclusion initiatives.
