The Department of Orthopedics at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is seeking a new full-time faculty member in the tenure or research career-line track, rank based upon qualifications. This position requires the candidate to hold a doctoral degree in either a life science, bioengineering, or a related area, with specific postdoctoral training or experience in chondrocyte biology.  Additionally, experience in tissue engineering and/or drug discovery is preferred.  Primary responsibilities include establishing a research program focused on cartilage biology and participation as a team member in the department’s Osteoarthritis Initiative. The candidate is also expected to provide scientific and research support for ongoing Departmental research programs investigating cartilage injury.
