Your will design and implement business processes to enable product research and development, portfolio prioritization, resource allocation and risk management.

As an advisor and an expert, you will be able to build and leverage constructive relationships across the organization to achieve your division's goals and objectives. You will be entrusted with developing Pfizer's strategies for a portfolio of products and projects.

The Portfolio Resource Strategy lead will take a lead role in interpreting the company's portfolio strategy and operating model and developing tools and processes to effectively assess resource implications. This role should have a strong understanding of clinical trial operations and the overarching clinical development process in order to quickly be able to identify where resource impacts should be seen based on changes in the portfolio, studies or sourcing strategies.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Portfolio and Project Management, Clinical Operations and Finance in understanding dynamics of clinical development portfolio, changes in studies and programs and trade offs across TA's and categories and communicate within Resource and Cost Modeling team
  • Understand and communicate how business initiatives impact financial results and recommend and manage initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Leading and support high-impact cross-functional special projects that improve our business in the short and long term.
  • Partner with senior leaders and to ensure organizational resources are optimized and appropriately aligned to business priorities across the business functional areas
  • Lead efforts to assess resource impact to Pfizer portfolio optimization opportunities (e.g., project accelerations, buy-ups, etc.)
  • Understand and communicate how business initiatives impact financial results and recommend and manage initiatives to improve efficiencies
  • Ensures cost investments are consistent and aligned with key business strategies. Collaborates with Finance to perform appropriate financial analyses, as required, to evaluate expected business value and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Take lead role in interpreting the company's vision and goals with respect to resource optimization, sourcing strategy and operating model and
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations, with a primary focus on executive and Board of Directors-level materials
  • Leading and support high-impact cross-functional special projects that improve our business in the short and long term.


Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical Research and Development and product life cycle process
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and communicate relevant business, valuation and portfolio related information/data to support decision-making processes
  • Strong influencing, networking and team skills, including demonstrated experience of active contribution to successful projects
  • Ability to effectively lead global, short term, matrixed project teams on tight timelines
  • Strong knowledge of clinical development and study operations
  • Business experience and thorough understanding of processes associated with operational aspects of clinical development
  • Is Subject Matter Expert on clinical development operations and affiliated resource needed
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and acumen
