Site Name: USA - Pennsylvania - Upper Providence Posted Date: Oct 8 2021 As an Analytical Equipment Specialist, you will work with project teams to enable the progression of medicines by utilizing your technical expertise as part of both product development and wider matrix teams. Your responsibilities include some of the following Provides laboratory support for GxP and Non-GxP automated platforms and analytical systems Acts as System Owner for various analytical equipment which includes system troubleshooting, authoring impact assessments and risk assessments, participating in analytical equipment validation lifecycle activities, such as executing change controls, and equipment management May perform the following activities: system administration, system procurement and deployment, training new users on system applications, hardware, and maintenance Documents laboratory work in accordance with GxP expectations, company policy, and legal requirements Oversees equipment support contractor and guides their daily activities Works with vendors and onsite staff to schedule equipment services Maintains training records and familiarity with current SOPs and controlled documents Follows safety requirements for his/her laboratory/working environment Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS in Chemistry, or related scientific field with 7+ years' experience, MS in Chemistry, or related scientific field with 5+ years' experience, or PhD in Chemistry or related scientific field with 1+ years' experience Demonstrated technical expertise and working familiarity with several analytical techniques and laboratory procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong technical writing skills for documentation. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience with Laboratory software applications (e.g. Waters Empower CDS and Labware). Experience with typical analytical equipment used in small molecule and biopharm processes Experience with automated platforms, including Sotax automated equipment platforms (e.g. Multidose and Xtend) Demonstrated team working skills and working across boundaries Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
