The Haq Lab is looking for an enthusiastic and talented post-doctoral fellow to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School. Our lab uses state-of-the-art molecular cellular and genetic approaches to study cancer therapy resistance, including immunotherapy (Gstalder et al, Cancer Discovery 2019) and targeted therapy (e.g., Montero et al, Nature Communications 2018). Some of our projects have involved the development of novel therapeutics to reverse resistance to existing therapies.

Our lab is part of the division of Molecular and Cellular Oncology, within the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which offers a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with close interaction with other basic and clinical scientists including the Broad Institute at Harvard and MIT. This is an ideal opportunity for an highly motivated and committed biologist to make an important contribution to understanding melanoma biology. Details of our lab are at: https://haqlab.dana-farber.org.

Requirements:

  • An interest in translational melanoma research.
  • Exceptionally motivated, creative and committed to scientific discovery.
  • Strong background and publication record in molecular and cellular biology, particularly murine models and experience with mammalian cell culture.
  • Affinity for quantitation and computation, and systems biology is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • PhD and/or MD required.
  • Experience and interest in immunology, molecular/cellular biology, mouse models or cancer preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have published at least one research article in an international peer-reviewed journal as the first author.
