ROLE SUMMARY
The Drug Product Design (DPD) Lab Coordinator will engage in the monitoring and execution of DPD Groton laboratory operations (drug substance solid form, solids/liquids/topics formulations, pharmaceutics research) including supplies, equipment set-up coordination & maintenance, vendor interface, IT support, safety, and collection of operational metrics.

The Drug Product Design (DPD) Lab Coordinator will engage in the monitoring and execution of DPD Groton laboratory operations (drug substance solid form, solids/liquids/topics formulations, pharmaceutics research) including supplies, equipment set-up coordination & maintenance, vendor interface, IT support, safety, and collection of operational metrics.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages instrument maintenance, installation, & repairs with vendors
Supports/coordinates stocking of laboratories with essential equipment, glassware, laboratory disposables, chemicals, and safety/cleaning supplies
Supports /coordinates the purchasing/decommissioning of capital equipment
Directs lab safety inspections and quarterly lab clean-ups with department EHS representatives with oversight to complete mitigation and corrective actions.
Maintains oversight of laboratory personnel physical space assignments in agreement with health and safety protocols.
Works with department experts to develop equipment training materials, e.g. virtual reality training, video capture, QuickStart guidance.
Maintains a database of all laboratory assets including maintenance records, capital information, and performance/use metrics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, engineering, or related technical field
2-4 years laboratory operations experience
Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
Effective written and oral communication skills
Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years experience with benchtop pharmaceutical research instruments and pilot scale formulation development equipment
Ability to collect, interpret, and execute on performance data analytics
Experience and or knowledge of R&D laboratory operations including lab efficiency, supply, safety, maintenance, and infrastructure.
