How You Will Achieve It

  • Manage own time, professional development and be accountable for own results.
  • Prioritize own workflow.
  • Maintain records of all analysis information of assigned products on data sheets for permanent file and proper entry of information on laboratory forms.
  • Assist in preparing data for Quality Assurance audits and addressing and drafting responses depending on level and experience.
  • Perform Quality Assurance analytical testing in the chemistry laboratory.
  • Evaluate all data obtained from analysis, identify discrepancy or deviation, consult with Supervisor and recommend any additional testing.
  • Perform standard qualitative and quantitative analysis on stability samples utilizing accepted procedures.
  • Ensures instruments are calibrated within specifications and function properly in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures.


Qualifications

Must-Have

  • This individual must have a Bachelor's degree in science discipline (preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology).
  • This individual should have a minimum of 0-1 years experience in a Quality Control or R&D laboratory.
  • Demonstrated analytical laboratory experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analytical methods
  • Ability to proficiently enter computerized data
  • Ability to work with simple scientific equipment
  • Handles multiple tasks concurrently and in a timely fashion
  • Self-motivated and work with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and pharmaceutical regulations, LIMS, Empower, and Microsoft Office is desired.


Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with a wide variety of analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, AA, UV-VIS, etc.) is desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computerized systems (Experience and use of Laboratory Information Management System)


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

This individual will be expected to work in the laboratory performing testing as well as desk work when documenting or calculating data. This will involve standing for long periods, handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, wearing of personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, closed toe shoes, gloves, and potentially respirator). This individual will be expected to lift approximately 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. This individual will need to follow written procedures and perform mathematical calculations.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

The typical work schedule is 1st shift, Monday-Friday. Overtime should not be used unless there are business critical needs and management pre-approval is obtained.

This individual will be required to wear a lab coat, closed toe shoes, protective gloves and safety glasses when entering the laboratory. This individual may also be required to wear a respirator.
