Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neural Engineering Section, Behavioral Neuroscience Research Branch

The Intramural Research Program (IRP), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has a junior postdoctoral position available starting after October 1, 2021 to conduct research aimed to understand neural mechanisms of substance abuse, using in vivo miniature fluorescence microscope calcium imaging in freely behaving rats. The applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary neural engineering group focused on the development and application of miniScope imaging technology to study neuronal circuit function and dysfunction in motivated behavior and drug abuse. Highly motivated and independent candidates with a solid publication record are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with behavioral neuroscience training and/or in vivo recordings, as well as basic Matlab/Python programing, is preferred. This opportunity is located in Baltimore, MD.
