Staff Associate I

The Division of Preventive Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking candidates for a Staff Associate I position.  The selected candidate will be leading the processing samples for the Reyes-Soffer Laboratory.  Methods include but are not limited to: running ELISA, Western blotting, Isolation of PBMC, cell sorting, Mass spec enrichment, gel electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation.  Additionally, the candidate will lead new method development and standardization of lab protocols.  The selectee will assist with data analysis using R software and manuscript preparation.  The Staff Associate I will lead the data meetings and work with other lab techs and students in method development.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree required.  Four years of related experience preferred.  Knowledge of or experience with mass spectrometry (Fluxomics/Proteomics), Stable Isotope methods, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blotting, Lipid and lipoprotein isolation, ELISA.
