Faculty Position in Pediatric Oncology
We are pleased to announce an opening for a tenure track faculty position in pediatric oncology at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is a joint recruiting effort between the Darby Children’s Research Institute in the Department of Pediatrics, and the Hollings Cancer Center, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
We are searching for either a basic scientist or physician scientist committed to performing research in pediatric oncology. Areas of research interest within this discipline include tumor immunology, cancer genes and molecular regulation, genomics and epigenomics, cancer therapeutics, metabolism, and tumor microenvironment, but other areas will be considered.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or dual degrees with a record of research accomplishments and peer reviewed publications. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a vigorous, nationally-recognized basic, translational, or clinical research effort. We will offer competitive start-up funding, well-designed laboratory space, and access to state-of-art core facilities.
