Academic Physician – GI Nutrition

The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank to join its nationally-recognized GI Nutrition team. The appointee will have a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities at our Hyde Park campus and at our network and affiliate sites.  Other duties include clinical research and the teaching and supervision of trainees and students.  We especially welcome applicants with experience and/or expertise in celiac disease, short bowel syndrome, small bowel endoscopy, and nutrition. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be BC/BE in Gastroenterology.
