Lab-Liang- Post-Doctoral Fellow
The Wistar Institute has an opening for an ambitious and productive Post-Doctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Chengyu Liang to investigate molecular mechanisms regulating melanoma risk, development, progression and therapeutic response.
Research in Liang Lab is centered on understanding the basic principle of cellular processes including autophagy, apoptosis, DNA damage repair, and intracellular trafficking to answer key questions in cancer development as well as viral infectious disease. Our lab is multi-disciplinary, highly interactive team, and postdocs are expected to conduct independent and challenging research under the PI’s close supervision and work in a highly collaborative manner.
PhD or equivalent degree is required. Recent PhD graduates from related fields and with record of publications are encouraged to apply. A strong laboratory experience with penetrating knowledge of molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, and immunology techniques, proficiency in mice experiments, and demonstrated ability to work independently with self-initiative, pro-active thinking are required. Previous experience with bioinformatic analysis would be helpful. The candidate should have highest scientific integrity and strong commitment to research excellence and achieving assigned objectives.
In addition to the online application, please submit a curriculum vitae and contact details of three references to Dr. Chengyu Liang, firstname.lastname@example.org.
