The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Augusta University is seeking applicants to fill a twelve-month tenure-track/tenured faculty position in neuroscience, with an emphasis on the aging brain and inflammation and cardiovascular disease. Rank will be determined according to candidate experience and qualifications, although applications at the Assistant and Associate Professor level are particularly welcome. As part of this university-wide recruiting effort our goal is to recruit innovative investigators with research accomplishments and interests that complement the existing strengths in our department in neurological and psychiatric disorders, cardiovascular disease, and molecular pharmacology. Applicants for positions at the rank of Associate or Full Professor should have substantial records of research accomplishment and sustained extramural funding. We offer competitive start-up support, excellent laboratory space, and outstanding core facilities for advanced cell imaging, genomics and proteomics, genome editing, small animal imaging and behavior, histology, and electron microscopy.
