The Departments of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder invite applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. We seek to hire outstanding scientists in the fields of molecular, cellular or developmental biology, biochemistry or structural biology. We seek a colleague who will develop a creative and innovative research program, attract external funding, provide research training for graduate and undergraduate students, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The MCDB and Biochemistry faculty and students have conducted innovative research to understand the fundamental workings of living things and to solve pressing biomedical issues facing our world.  Our faculty, students, and staff form a close, vibrant, and rewarding intellectual community in which to work. We seek outstanding scientists to join the faculty and complement our current strengths.

The departments of MCDB and Biochemistry are in the College of Arts and Sciences, whose faculty conduct research, scholarship, creative work and education in more than 60 fields. The college leads nationally in undergraduate and graduate education, bringing world-class research and scholarship to our students, in and out of the classroom. The college is the academic home to all five of the university’s Nobel laureates. Additionally, it is home to three of the university’s National Medal of Science winners, seven MacArthur "Genius Award" winners, over 40 Fulbright Scholars, 37 Guggenheim Fellows, 13 Packard Fellows, 26 members of the National Academy of Sciences, and 27 fellows of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

A Ph.D., MD or equivalent degree, post-doctoral research experience and a strong publication record are required. Review of submitted applications will continue until the position is filled, but priority consideration will be given to applications that are complete by November 15, 2021. The anticipated starting date of the appointment is August 2022.
