The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking candidates for an open-area, full-time faculty position. Applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level are welcome, in all areas related to chemical and biomolecular engineering. Candidates with a documented commitment to working with students or faculty from groups historically marginalized or underrepresented in the field through teaching, mentoring, or administration are especially encouraged to apply.

Faculty members in the department teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and are expected to initiate and sustain a vigorous research program. An earned Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, applied math, biotechnology, chemical technology, or related field is required, with a distinguished academic record preferred. Candidates for associate or full professor rank should have demonstrated evidence of leadership in the field at the national and international level, respectively.
