The LSU Health Sciences Center Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center has an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher to perform studies focused on understanding the mechanisms of therapeutic response and resistance to immunotherapies in cancer. The selected candidate will assist, design and perform systematic or hypothesis-directed studies of tumor and immune cell response to oncolytic viral therapy studies in animal tumor models that may inform clinical decision-making, resistance mechanisms, or treatment response.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and publications in the area of cancer immunology, a PhD or equivalent degree, and must be able to work independently with high self-motivation. Prior research experience of syngeneic mouse models of colon cancer and experience in the area of in vivo cancer biology are highly desired.
- PhD or equivalent degree in a Basic or Health Science or related field
- 2 years of experience in a research environment
- MD or MD/PhD is also acceptable
