Postdoctoral Scientist/ Career Development Fellow
Salary Range £32,302 - £35,143 per annum
Fixed term initially for 2 years

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist Position in the group of Dr Ingo Greger to undertake research into gating and modulation of AMPA receptor complexes using electrophysiological approaches.
This project builds on our recent structural and functional work (Herguedas et al., Science 2019; Dohrke et al., JBC 2020; Zhang et al., Nature 2021), and aims to characterise AMPA receptor modulation by auxiliary proteins, therapeutic drugs and annular lipids. Candidates should have a PhD and experience with patch-clamp recording techniques. Experience with brain slice electrophysiology would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be awarded an initial 2-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a Postdoctoral Scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
