Key Responsibilities: Working as part of the Medical Matrix Team responsible for the medical impact of an asset, the Daprodustat Scientific Manager helps execute against the medical plan and contribute to the medical strategy for a key brand. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to deliver key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Plan and execute asset and portfolio-level medical tactics; contribute to medical material development, communication plans, and application of customer insight Responsible for helping to develop US medical strategy and perspective, ensuring medical strategy and plans are aligned with commercial asset strategy where appropriate Contribute to the cross-functional Medical Matrix Team to tailor / adapt global asset strategy for US specific customer needs and environment. Contribute to implementation of US Tactical Plans aligned to strategy Contribute to asset positioning and evidence planning with strategic alignment to overall therapeutic portfolio and disease area & US payer environment Engage with external communities to advance scientific and medical understanding including the appropriate development and use of our medicines, the management of disease, and patient care. Coordinate with the US MSL field team and GMAL on joint global and US engagement of top US based EEs Understand the evolving healthcare environment (provider/expert) and payer landscapes and help to translate that working knowledge into the US medical plan Reviews, synthesizes, and analyses clinical trial data and translates data into actionable plans at the product level Develops product strategy for local Medical Advisory Board and Expert Panel meetings, Medical Education & Grants, and Medical Abstracts and Publications. Supports Medical Information on FAQs and standard response letters, product training, and medicine annual reports Follows sound medical governance for all activities Is accountable for maintaining deep product and disease expertise on the medicine(s), across multiple indications including anemia and chronic kidney disease) Able to serve as USMA designate in global forums Supports the Senior Medical Leader as needed Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Healthcare Doctorate or terminal degree (PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, etc.) 3+ years industry experience (Medical Affairs or Clinical Development preferred) or strong, directly applicable, clinical background Demonstrate a thorough understanding of US Healthcare Environment including all external stakeholders Demonstrate understanding of Medical Affairs accountabilities for evidence generation, external engagement and internal advice Disease area expertise and appropriate Medical and/or Clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: PharmD, PhD, or MD US Medical affairs experience is preferred Ability to influence to deliver results, proactively look for new opportunities and constantly anticipate the need for change Ability to drive and continuously curious in a performance-based culture Ability to analyze external environment and translate to strategy and gain support of others to implement a vision.
