As an Investigator within the Chemical Biology group, you will be carrying out experimental work to support initiation and progression of GSK programs and capabilities. You will be influencing the experimental strategies of the team and contributing to establishing a culture and environment of scientific excellence. Responsibilities: Support GSK effort to establish industry-leading, cutting edge Chemical Biology capabilities Empower the Chemical Biology team by designing and implementing experiments to solve biological questions. Maintain high individual lab-based productivity. Contribute to collaborative work with chemists, biochemists, data scientists, chemoproteomics scientists and biologists. Interpret and communicate complex scientific data. Establish personal and professional development goals and outline plan to meet them. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Ph.D. in Immunology, Biotechnology, Biomedical sciences, or related fields with 0 years experience, or Master's degree with 5 years experience, Bachelor's degree with 10 years experience. Experience in mechanistic pharmacology Experience in bioassay development to profile compounds to obtain structure-activity relationships - binding affinity (ELISA, FRET, BRET), high-throughput functional readouts, etc Flow cytometry experience with panel of 8+ colors. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Immunology drug discovery experience with diverse target classes, mechanisms, and modalities Familiar with primary cells and tissue processing techniques. Technical experience in multiplex/MSD assay. Develop and conduct in vitro cellular assays to evaluate antibody/protein binding and relevant functional activity. Mass spectrometry practical skills and proteomic workflows experience. Support the development of efficacious PROTACs. Knowledge and understanding of biorthogonal chemistry. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and be effective in matrix relationships. Deep knowledge of contemporary chemical biology techniques and literature. Self-starter, proactive with a track record of high productivity and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Eagerness to grow and develop as a scientist. Why GSK?
