We are currently seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our Analytical Chemistry team to support endeavours in our industry-leading platform based around DNA encoded small molecules (Encoded Library Technologies), within GSK's NCE Discovery site in Cambridge, MA. Our focus is screening technologies based on affinity selection - a discovery paradigm to screen unprecedented chemical diversity at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional methods. Our platform is poised to achieve new levels of productivity following advances in selection methods, cheminformatics, and high throughput chemistry. Why you? Basic Qualifications: BS/MS in analytical, organic, or medicinal chemistry with 1-5 years of experience in the analytical instrument/pharmaceutical industry. Experience with common analytical techniques, such as Ultra high-performance Liquid Chromatography, Size Exclusion Chromatography, and knowledge of Mass Spectrometry techniques and UV detection. Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality results Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently, prepare and present reports, and collaborate across disciplines Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the usage of ThermoScientific Xcalibur, Waters Masslynx, and Agilent Chemstation softwares Familiarity with scaling reverse phase/normal phase chromatography from analytical analysis to semi-prep purifications Proficient Chromatography skills Proficient Data analysis skills with the usage of Excel/Python etc. Experience with Troubleshooting LC/MS instrumentation Closing Date for Applications: TBC Why GSK?
