Tandon School of Engineering: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured, renewable faculty position in Molecular Biology and Genetics, at the level of Industry Assistant Professor or Industry Associate Professor, with a start date of January 2022 or September 2022.
The department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering offers BS degrees in Biomolecular Science and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, MS degrees in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship, and a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering.
An Industry Professor's primary roles are teaching, mentoring, and educational innovation and the position may also entail some administrative work and outreach. Specifically, the duties for this position will be classroom and laboratory teaching in biology, with a specific emphasis on genetics and molecular biology. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach an introductory biochemistry lecture course. The normal teaching load is three courses per academic semester.
