Specific Responsibilities:

The Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) Project Management Associate will be responsible for providing project management support to small molecule CMC teams responsible for management of pharmaceutical products and outsourcing partner (CXO teams). Primary responsibilities will include management of Commercial drug product and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) commercial teams supporting program chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) and post approval life cycle management deliverables. The Project Management Associate will also support CXO teams responsible for oversight of partnerships with contract manufacturing and testing sites. The full scope of projects assigned may include management of development phase programs and biologics teams. The Project Management Associate will be collaborating with the following groups: Chemical Development and Manufacturing Operations, Analytical Operations, Quality Assurance, Packaging & Labeling, Global Supply Chain, Outsourcing, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. The Project Management Associate will be responsible for facilitating team meetings and tracking project and department activities including: change management records, action items, timelines, resource plans and other project or department deliverables as required. The Project Management Associate will manage multiple products and CXO teams and may be assigned duties associated with PMO office initiatives as required.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Project management of multiple product and CXO teams
  • Facilitate program communications and documentation
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues and organize team to execute on the corrective actions
  • Monitor program deliverables and track change management records
  • Ensures project work complies with established practices, policies, and processes
  • Support preparation of materials for product review meetings with PDM leadership
  • Contributing to PMO office initiatives


Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience and a BA or BS or 2+ years of relevant experience and a MS or MBA. PMP certification or other formal training in project management is desirable. Relevant experience consists of work in cross functional biopharmaceutical /pharmaceutical CMC development, GMP API or DP manufacturing, contract manufacturing or testing and/or regulatory affairs.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of setting priorities and delivering on commitments while, managing high workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in managing teams with remote members
  • In-depth knowledge and skill with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), MS Teams, SharePoint, Planisware and other reporting/tracking tools
