We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral scholar to join Dr. Kaixiang Cao’s lab in the Department of Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University. The Cao lab is interested in understanding epigenetic mechanisms by which stem cell maintenance and differentiation are regulated, with the long-term goal to translate our research to benefit patients and improve public health.

The major research focuses of the Cao lab are: 1) Understanding how epigenetic proteins function in regulating transcription, chromatin structure, and stem cell differentiation; 2) Studying the cross talks between different epigenetic pathways and their downstream impacts; 3) Identifying novel enhancer regulating factors and machineries and determining their roles in normal development and diseases.

Successful candidates should have a PhD degree in biological sciences with considerable experience in molecular biology and cell biology. Experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) data analyses is desirable but not required. Competitive salary will be provided and commensurate with experience.

Applicants should send a cover letter, CV with a list of publications, and contact information for three references to Dr. Kaixiang Cao at kxc725@case.edu. For more information about Dr. Cao’s research work, please visit https://case.edu/medicine/biochemistry/faculty/kaixiang-cao.

The position will remain open until filled.

In employment, as in education, Case Western Reserve University is committed to Equal Opportunity and Diversity. Women, veterans, members of underrepresented minority groups, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
