The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for two nine-month, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Biochemistry. Candidates in all areas of biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Bioinorganic spectroscopy, natural product biosynthesis, -omics, and structural biology are areas that align well
with departmental strengths and ambitions. Successful candidates are expected to develop vigorous, externally funded research programs. Duties also include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Thus, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field and at least one year of postdoctoral experience are required at the time employment begins. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States
at the time employee begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
