The Director, IT International Data and Analytics will liaise with Gilead business teams at all levels across and all
geographies outside of US. The role will be responsible to lead the D&A IT International Commercial Analytics
function as well as Business Engagement for Enterprise Data and Analytics needs supporting Commercial ex-US.
It has full accountability for the provision of services and is responsible for setting the strategic IT direction for Data and Analytics. Specifically, this role will manage International Commercial Data and Analytics products and ensure a transition to a future state based on IT Strategic roadmap. It will also work with senior leaders outside US for any Data and Analytics needs. This critical role will report directly into Global Head of Commercial Data & Analytics within IT. It is highly cross functional, working closely with the senior leadership teams from various business groups and IT groups to ensure success across the integrated Enterprise. This role will have reportee's and includes people management responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
\uf0b7 Establishes and maintains a strategic relationship with Senior and/or Executive level stakeholders across Commercial and IT
\uf0b7 Be a key partner for the Commercial Business teams ensuring IT is a value-add, specialist service in the domain of Commercial Analytics
\uf0b7 Stay abreast of industry market knowledge and technology trends in this domain and explore and seize upon opportunities as and when presented
\uf0b7 Develop and own the IT Strategy & Plan supporting commercial business objectives
\uf0b7 Be responsible for securing sponsorship and funding for projects and initiatives that form part of the II Strategy and Plan
\uf0b7 Establish and lead cross functional teams to deliver and support the defined Products and Services
\uf0b7 Own and operate the governance structures around the IT Strategy & Plan to ensure it remains relevant to the business objectives and that the aspired to benefits are being realized
\uf0b7 Manage Vendors to ensure contract delivery
\uf0b7 Act as Business Engagement & Overall Delivery lead for all Data and Analytics across International Regions
\uf0b7 Develop User Enablement service, creating an offshore Analytics factory exploiting Enterprise D&A data assets to align business value with data strategy.
\uf0b7 Leads Strategic programs i.e. Cloud transformation program for international to deliver on key business objectives

Responsibilities of the International Data and Analytics Capability/Tower Lead include:

\uf0b7 Participates in short and long-term business or IT and strategic planning sessions. Provides strategic consultation to business and IT teams
\uf0b7 Directs the establishment of and ensures funding for an IT Portfolio of work that integrates with other portfolios to enable the delivery an integrated strategic vision
\uf0b7 Articulates the business or IT strategies to key stakeholders and priorities in alignment with the strategies
\uf0b7 Understands and anticipates direction of the IT or business unit, identifying opportunities and making recommendations to enable capability development

\uf0b7 Directs the Team Leaders to ensure:
o Their collaboration with business or IT stakeholders and technical resources to cultivate appropriate solution required to meet Business goals
o That they advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on end-user, processes and system priorities
o That they actively communicate with business or IT leaders and other stakeholders to ensure awareness of progress, risks, and results
o That they promote knowledge of IT process, roles, and procedures to ensure the best possible outcome
\uf0b7 Establishes and maintains a strategic relationship with senior/executive level stakeholders

\uf0b7 Directs and governs the delivery of the agreed Commercial Analytics Portfolio of work and Sustainment through Team Leads
\uf0b7 Ensures IT solutions support the short-term and long-term business or IT goals/strategy
\uf0b7 Ensures stakeholder's expectations are set and identifies and resolves disconnects through negotiation or governance mechanisms

\uf0b7 Put into place the appropriate organization and process to provide operational support for technology solutions across multiple Commercial Analytics capabilities
\uf0b7 Expedite the resolution of escalated IT or business issues

Leadership & Management
\uf0b7 Collaborates with IT domain areas to provide awareness of key business or IT issues
\uf0b7 Develops, motivates, directs IT team members and fosters a team environment
\uf0b7 Mentors members of the IT team and recommends training programs targeting specific areas of improvement

Education & Qualifications:
\uf0b7 Bachelor's Degree or above in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science
\uf0b7 10 or more years of experience in Data warehousing
\uf0b7 5 or more years of experience with Cloud computing and driving cloud transformation projects
\uf0b7 10 or more years in supporting Data Management and Analytics for Commercial business functions in Life
sciences companies

Experience & Skills:
\uf0b7 15+ years of experience leading IT Development and Operations, 5+ years in Pharma Commercial
\uf0b7 15+ years' experience of stakeholder management (5+ at senior levels)
\uf0b7 10+ years of domain experience in Data and Analytics
\uf0b7 Demonstrates strong technical understanding of Datawarehouse process, develop cloud implementation methodologies
\uf0b7 AWS Cloud implementation experience is a huge Plus
\uf0b7 Deep understanding and implementation experience on integration technologies like Informatica, AWS Glue and understanding on Analytical and Visualization technologies like tableau and MicroStrategy is a huge Plus
\uf0b7 Data Management experience in Pharma Domain, including knowledge of external data products e.g. IQVIA, Wilmington SSD, Gers, Atlmark, Distributer data
\uf0b7 Has developed Data and Analytics Roadmaps and strategies across business and/or IT
\uf0b7 Experience of Agile methods, with proven ability to apply these to a data and analytics environment
\uf0b7 Possesses strong leadership skills and able to make critical decisions
\uf0b7 Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
\uf0b7 Strong executive-level verbal and written communications
\uf0b7 Extensive experience in stakeholder management, dealing with senior management up to executive level
\uf0b7 Ability to work with dispersed and global teams and locations
\uf0b7 Excellent at interpersonal skills and relationship development
\uf0b7 Strong business acumen
\uf0b7 Specific experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma/Medical Devices/Healthcare industries is preferred
\uf0b7 Ability to handle conflicting priorities from various business groups and prioritize them based on the
business requirements and resource availability.
\uf0b7 Experience in implementing and leading change management and governance process
