Job Summary:
The Department of Chemistry, in the College of Science, has an open Lecturer position beginning Spring of 2022. The 1.0 FTE AY position is non-tenure track and renewable each year without constraint on the number of years served. Duties of this position primarily focus on Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry courses. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing biochemistry laboratories, managing organic chemistry laboratories for chemistry majors and chemical engineers and assisting faculty with integration of chemical concepts into these courses, and lecture instruction in organic chemistry and/or biochemistry. The department is committed to integrating cutting-edge teaching technology into laboratory instruction and the lecturer in this position is expected to continue implementing these efforts.

College and Department:
These positions come at a time of dynamic leadership and with significant investment in the College of Science, which comprises the computing, physical, and life sciences at Purdue. The Chemistry Department’s teaching and research activities cover a broad range of topics integral to modern chemistry, across all chemistry subfields (analytical, biochemistry, physical, organic, inorganic, materials chemistry, and chemical education). Qualifications:
All applicants must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field, and be committed to excellence in teaching.
