As a Clinical Development Director, you will provide clinical virology leadership for, but not limited to: (1) novel therapeutic agents/regimens in clinical development across the ViiV Healthcare portfolio, (2) establishment/maintenance of translational research collaborations and investigator sponsored studies, and (3) matrix support for drug discovery and clinical research areas. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following… Primary focus on conduct and/or leadership of clinical virology activities for ViiV-sponsored clinical development from Ph1b through 3b/4 Provide Clinical Virology leadership on medicine development teams Strong interface with Medical Affairs and Commercial organizations/teams Subject matter expert across the ViiV portfolio as well as consultation to Discovery programs Represent Translational Medical Research on cure/remission related programs Oversee/manage virology-centric investigator sponsored studies supporting the ViiV portfolio and/or scientific interests Establish/maintain translational research collaborations supporting the ViiV portfolio and/or scientific interests Expert communication of ViiV data in presentations at scientific conferences, either local, regional, or international. Help to translate complex scientific data into clinical practice and help develop the respective virology narratives Exemplify transparency and promotes quality of science. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: PhD OR MD Experience in drug discovery and clinical development Research experience in HIV pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention 5 plus years plus of experience in drug development in industry Leadership experience Knowledge of the clinical trial process from concept study idea to regulatory submission and publication Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience in Medical Affairs & Post-Marketing Effective communication and networking skills Good interpersonal relationship building/maintenance Why ViiV Healthcare?
