Position Summary

The Williams lab is looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to advance the meditope technology platform to create novel ADCs and tumor-activated biologics for immunotherapy. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in protein production (E coli and mammalian cells), protein purification using various chromatographic methods, and characterization (HPLC, SPR, ITC, Mass spec), and cell-based assays. Experience in animal tumor models is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a solid publication record, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and outstanding record keeping. The primary goal is to translate these efforts into the clinic to cure cancer. Critically, City of Hope has all the infrastructure to make this happen including three GMP facilities.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, protein chemistry, biochemical engineering or related field with 1 to 3 years of postdoctoral experience
  • Experience with protein production and purification
  • Fully versed in protein purification methods (HPLC, SPR, ITC, Mass Spec)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Ability to supervise others and work effectively in a team


Additional Information:
