POSITION SUMMARY:

Calibr is looking for an experienced program manager to lead the planning, management, and execution of Calibr’s drug development projects. Calibr is an independent, not-for-profit institute dedicated to accelerating the translation of basic research to new medicines that address unmet medical needs. This program manager will support the project teams to successfully deliver project milestones within timeline and budgets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Work with the project teams to develop, maintain, and align accurate, integrated project timelines and resource plans
  • In collaboration with project teams, generate and understand critical path activities, anticipate risks, and create contingency plans
  • Partner with Project Team Leader to foster effective team dynamics. Coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams
  • Facilitate team communications and ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status
  • Partner with administrative colleagues to coordinate and manage critical contract activities
  • Facilitate Project Team Meetings and Project Review Meetings with executive leadership, including contributing to and summarizing  discussion of program strategy and execution
  • Interface with external partners and contractors to develop and execute alliances
  • Therapeutic areas of focus will include cancer, immunology, and neuroscience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in project leadership role or with Project Management experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Strong grasp of preclinical drug discovery and development processes. Experience in early-stage clinical studies is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience managing relationships with contract research organizations (CROs) and consultants
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated timeline and budget management, decision-making and organization skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and analyze work flows for efficiency
  • Direct experience in one or more of the therapeutic focus areas (cancer, immunology, and neuroscience) is strongly preferred
