The Tisch Cancer Institute (TCI), an NCI-Designated Cancer Center, and the Department of Oncological Sciences of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are seeking exceptional candidates (PhD, MD, or MD/PhD) of the highest caliber for faculty positions focused on cancer research, whose work—as consistent with our mission—will lead to advances in cancer prevention, prognosis, and therapy. Investigators with a focus in the areas of cancer epigenetics, genetics, genomics, signaling, metabolism, tumor microenvironment and targeted therapies are highly encouraged to apply. Investigators who are developing state-of-the-art technologies in data science, proteomics, single cell profiling, computational biology and model systems, are also of great interest to our mission.

Successful candidates will be expected to develop or expand independently funded research. New recruits will augment an intellectually vibrant and growing group of full-time faculty, with exceptional mentoring for all junior faculty.

Underrepresented minorities have additional opportunities through the Mount Sinai Laureates Program (https://icahn.mssm.edu/research/laureates/recruitment) which seeks to increase the diversity of our research faculty and to support their growth as investigators and development towards leadership roles. We are highly committed to this purpose within our cancer center.

The TCI offers highly competitive start-up packages, salaries and benefits. Interested candidates are invited to submit the following documents in one PDF file to

TCI-Recruitment@mssm.edu by December 15, 2021.

  1. Letter of interest
  2. Curriculum vitae
